I turned this vase on my pottery wheel. The following day I trimmed the bottom foot. I then brushed on a white clay slip. Once the slip in dry to no sheen to it I carved out the roses. Then I put it on my shelf with plastic around it so my pottery will dry slowly. Once it is bone dry I fired it in my electric kiln at about 2300 degrees.
