Food Safe, Dishwasher Approved

To make this tray I rolled out black clay and formed it into this tray. I painted on white clay slip. When the slip was partially dried I carved out these ducks revealing the black tray. I accented them with orange under-glaze beaks and feet.

Once it was dry I fired it in my electric kiln to bisque ware. I then dipped it in a clear glaze and fired it again.
