HOW I MAKE MY PIECES
I turned this bowl from stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel. I then set it aside until it firmed up to leather clay hard, which normally takes a day. I then trimmed the bottom flat. With underglaze, I painted the flowers and leaves on this bowl and caved out the flower veins.
I let it sit under plastic to slowly dry the stoneware clay bowl to bone-dry clay. I then fired it in my low-temperature kiln to about 2300 degrees.
I dipped in my clear glaze. Along with a full kiln of pottery this bowl was fired at a temperature of about 2900.
