Description
It is also a perfect size to put a Voluspa candle (not included) in it. When I made it I was hoping for a larger goblet but the cup part shrunk more than I wanted, therefore, I put a candle in it.
Size Approximate Height – 5 1/2″
Cup Width 2 1/2″
Base Width 3 1/2″
Capacity 4 Ounce – 1/2 Cup
Due to monitor and phone variances, the colour you see may vary from the actual colour. This glaze also leaves occasional white spots showing the clay. This is normal and will not affect its use of it. I will not accept returns due to these spots.
I turned the stem on a potter’s wheel and then turned the cup. Once they had firmed up I attached the cup to the stem using liquid clay called slip.
I let it dry completely under plastic and then fired it in my electric kiln to bisque ware. I brushed on three coats of blue glaze on the bottom and three coats of pink glaze on the top, which runs and creates a lovely colour of pink running down on the blue. It was then fired in my kiln to about 2900 degrees.
