Pink Bud Vase, Ceramic Vase

HOW I MAKE MY VASES
I pushed the clay through my extruder to create tubes. I then cut them to size and put a bottom on them. With more stoneware clay I cut out these palm trees and put them on the leather hard vase. After they dried I fired (baked) them in my electric kiln to about 2300 degrees.

Using underglazes I painted the pink on the vase and the green leaves and brown trunks of these palm trees. The inside is glazed in an off-white glaze and the outside is in a clear glaze. Once I have enough pottery to fill my kiln I fire my glazed pottery to a high temperature melting the glaze into the pottery.

Ready to ship. I wrap my pottery in bubble wrap, then I pack it tightly in the box surrounding it with Styrofoam peanuts. If possible I use recyclable packing material to save them from going into the landfill.
