I try to avoid blemishes but occasionally pottery does mysterious things in the kiln. Once I have pointed out these blemishes they can not be returned.
Microwave and Dishwasher safe.
Each cup is sold separately. Use the drop-down menu to choose how many you would like.
PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE STOCK PHOTOS. My pottery is either turned on my potter’s wheel or formed by hand. Although I try to make each mug exactly the same there are slight differences in shape and size.
Ready to ship. I wrap my pottery in bubble wrap, then I pack it tightly in the box surrounding it with Styrofoam peanuts. If possible I use recyclable packing material to save them from going into the landfill.
After I have turned my cups on the potter’s wheel I set them aside for a day to firm up. The following day I put them on my potters’ wheel, upside down and trim the bottom, creating a foot or a flat bottom. Next, the handle which I have formed is attached. I press a doily around the bottom to create a fan design.
To avoid them from cracking or handles coming off I dry them slowly under plastic on my drying shelf for a couple of weeks. They are then fired (cooked) in an electric kiln for several hours.
One more step is to put on the glaze, (the colour) and fire them again in the kiln at a very hot temperature.
