Description
I don’t turn these bowls on a pottery wheel. I roll out a slab of clay and cut out a 6-sided bowl and put the sides together then curve and shape these bowls. Each bowl is uniquely hand-built.
SIZE Approximate – Width 3 1/2″ to 3″ (9 cm)
Height 2 1/2″ high (6.4 cm)
Capacity 1 cup. (250 ml)
COLOUR – Black and White
Computers, tablets and phone screens may cause the colour to look slightly different than what it is. See the colour description above.
THESE ARE STOCK PICTURES– I mix white and black clay together then roll it out flat, then cut out the pattern. therefore the colour pattern is random, Each bowl is different and will have a different pattern than the stock photos shown.
Dishwasher and food-safe.
Once these bowls are made I set them on my drying shelf to slowly dry the stoneware clay bowl to bone-dry clay. I then fired it in my low-temperature kiln to about 2300 degrees.
I put the coloured or clear glaze on by either dipping my bowls in a bucket of glaze or painting 3 coats of glaze on them then they are fired in my kiln.
