To make this cute little gingerbread house I first pushed this salmon-pink-coloured clay through a square extruder to create a tube. Once it was leather hard I cut the top to a peak then put a rolled-out flat piece of clay over the peak to make a roof. I cut out the windows, doors and the hole in the back for the light. I also put in a floor for the light. I then fired it to about 2300 degrees in my electric kiln. With bubble glazed I iced this house to make it like a gingerbread house. Once again I fired it in my kiln.
I enjoy making my pottery in my basement studio in central Canada not far from Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes.
