Funky Ceramic Bird, Handmade Sculpted Bird

How I Made It — I rolled out stoneware clay and then cut out this funky bird shape. I bent up the clay wings, tail, feet and head to give it personality. I formed it over a round tube allowing it to sit flat on a table. After it was bone dry I fired it in my electric kiln to bisque ware along with many other pieces of pottery. It was then glazed in this green glaze and fired to about 2900 degrees, melting the glaze to my whimsical bird.
