HOW I MAKE MY VASES
I turned this vase on my pottery wheel. I pushed out the walls on 4 altering its shape from a simple round-bellied vase. The following day I trimmed the bottom and scored around the outside. Then I put it on my shelf with plastic around it so my pottery will dry slowly. Once it is bone dry I fired it in my electric kiln at about 2300 degrees.
The next step was to dip this into the variegated brown glaze and then fired it in my kiln at about 2900 degrees.
Ready to ship. I wrap my pottery in bubble wrap, then I pack it tightly in the box surrounding it with Styrofoam peanuts. If possible I use recyclable packing material to save them from going into the landfill.
