Farm Scene Tray, Square Brown Ceramic Tray, Serving Tray

Description

As children my sister spent hours at the dining room table with a black ink pad, lots of paper and a set of farm stamps, creating pictures. When I saw these decals it brought me right back to my childhood and I knew I had to put these on my pottery.

SIZE – approximately — 9″ Square

COLOUR — Tray is Brown with Off-White Base and Black farm animals.

To make this tray I rolled brown clay out flat and set the clay in my square tray form. I brushed a white slip on the base. Once it was semi-dry applied these farm animals and barn onto the tray.
The tray sat under plastic until it was bone dry, ready to bisque fire it in my electric kiln. Out of the kiln, I dipped it in clear glaze and fired it again.
