I turned this bowl from stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel. I then set it aside until it firmed up to leather clay hard, which normally takes a day. I then trimmed the bottom flat or trimmed a foot on the bottom.
I set it on my drying shelf to slowly dry the stoneware clay bowl to bone-dry clay. I then fired it in my low-temperature kiln to about 2300 degrees.
I put the coloured glaze on by either dipping my bowls in a bucket of glaze or I brush 3 coats of glaze on them. Along with a full kiln of pottery this bowl was fired at a temperature of about 2900.
