How I Make These — I roll out a slab of clay and press my swan stamp into the clay. I then drape the slab over my wooden for. I press it around the edges into the curved corners. and cut it to chape. I then added strips of clay on the bottom for a foot. After it is dried and bisque fired I paint the colour on and then wipe it off leaving the paint in the embossed area, enhancing the swan. It is then dipped in my clear glaze and fired in my kiln to a high-fired glazed.
