How I Make These — I roll out a slab of clay and press my laser-cut peacock stamp into the clay. I then drape the slab over my wooden form. I press it around the edges into the curved corners. and cut it to shape. I cut out strips of clay for the bottom to sit on. After it is dried and bisque fired I paint the colour on and then wipe it off leaving the paint in the embossed area, enhancing the carved areas of the peacock. It is then dipped in my clear glaze and fired in my kiln to a high-fired glazed.
