I turned these bowls from stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel. I then set it aside until it firmed up to a leather clay hard, which normally takes a day. I then turned the foot on the bottom.
I let it sit under plastic to slowly dry the stoneware clay bowl to bone-dry clay. I then fired it in my low-temperature kiln to about 2300 degrees. I brushed 3 coats of this snow-white glaze on it.
Along with a full kiln of pottery this bowl was fired at a temperature of about 2900.
I then took a ceramic glaze, called bubble or raised glaze and put these dots on the bowls. It was then fired in a low bisque fired kiln to fuze these dots onto the white glaze.
I turned each bowl on a potter’s wheel. They are similar in size and similar in shape. They are a sturdy size that won’t tip over.
