10 Ounce Bowl, Ceramic Hand Carved Bowl

Description

On a cold day enjoy a bowl of hot rice, noodles or a cold salad or ice cream on a hot day in one of my handmade wheel-turned bowls.

SIZE, Approximate – 5.5″ (14 cm) across the top

1 1/2 – 1 3/4 cup capacity
My bowls are turned on my wheel, therefore, the bowls are not exactly the same size and shape as store-bought bowls. That way you know they are made by hand with love.

COLOUR – Seaweed Green which is darker where I carved the flowers.

Dishwasher and food-safe.

I turned my bowls from stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel. Once it has firmed up I trim the bottom and carved the flowers out.
I set my freshly made pottery under plastic to slowly dry to bone-dry clay. I then fired it in my low-temperature kiln to about 2300 degrees.

I painted three coats of green glaze on my bowls and fired them with a full kiln of pottery to a temperature of about 2900.
